WHAT IS THE MADRICHIM PROGRAM?

We have created a new program just for teensthose who are a bit older and wiser, but still wanting to experience the joy of Kids’ Kallahour brand new madrichim (Counselor-in-Training) program! (15$ per hour which will count as work/study and defray the overall cost of their accommodations at Kallah!)
The madrichim program is designed to be a rewarding experience for this age group as they will learn by teaching, get to join in the general fun, and also have special time with their peer group for other special madrichim-only activities.
Our madrichim program will function in a similar fashion to our work/study program. Each hour of participation in the madrichim program will equate to $15 per hour, which then will be removed off of your teen’s registration cost for Kallah. The madrichim program hours will match those of Kids Kallah.

HELP, I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS!

Not to worry! Check out our FAQ below for some of our most frequently asked questions.

My child is under the age of 3. What should I do?
We sincerely apologize, but toddlers/infants (under the age of 3) will not be able to receive babysitting services provided by Kids Kallah. This means that your little ones will need to remain with a parent or caregiver at all times.

If we receive a significant amount of interest in babysitting services for our youngest Renewalniks, we may be able to add this as an optional upgrade service. If you are interested in babysitting services for your toddler/infant, please reach out to us at kallah@aleph.orgto let us know of your interest.

My child is a teenager (13 – 17.) Do they qualify for Kids’ Kallah?
Great question! Teens aged 13 – 17 qualify for our madrichim (Counselor-in-Training) program to help our with Kids’ Kallah onsite. A uniquely-designedmadrichimprogram, specifically for teens, will allow them to experience their own personal learning, leadership, and growth journeys through Kids Kallah in a new and meaningful way.

My child has special needs. Will their needs be able to be accomodated?
Absolutely! Our Kids’ Kallah Coordinator, Elissa Yaffe Cohen, has extensive experience working with children of all abilities, and brings with her a background in special education. Please reach out to us at kallah@aleph.orgas soon as possible to share more about your child so we can do our best to prepare for their arrival.

Who will my child be spending time with?
Our Kids’ Kallah Coordinator, Elissa Yaffe Cohen, will be spearheading and overseeing our Kids’ Kallah program as a whole. But she won’t be alone! She’ll be joined by a team of Kids’ Kallah Counselors who will all work together to create magic each day. Each adult counselor is background check certified and has experience working with children.

Our Kids’ Kallah Coordinator and Kids’ Kallah Counselors will also be joined by our Kids’ Kallah Madrichim (Counselors-in-Training.) Kids under the age of 17 will never be left unsupervised without an adult.

I am not sure if I want to register my child yet; can I just show up with my child on the day of the program?
Unfortunately we cannot accept any last-minute registrations and will need to turn away anyone who shows up onsite with out an advance registration. Make sure you register in advance (spots are filling quickly!) to ensure your child has a spot in our Kids’ Kallah program.

I have questions and/or suggestions about the curriculum.
Wonderful! We’re glad to hear it. Please reach out to us at kallah@aleph.orgso that we may connect you with our Kids’ Kallah Coordinator.

I have another question that isn’t listed here.
No problem! We’d love to help. Please reach out to us at kallah@aleph.orgso that we may connect you with our Kids’ Kallah Coordinator.
